Keep your fingers, toes and whatever else you can...crossed for me. I interviewed for a job that seems like it would be a perfect fit with my full time college schedule. I lost my teaching job at the end of this school year and have been searching for something else that would allow me to continue my college schedule (I am going into my senior year of college at the ripe old age of 43!) I probably won't hear until the end of the week.

LOL, hey - 43 is NOT ripe!!! Better not be, Id be spoiling at 45! POSITIVE thoughts and vibes coming your way on the job - hopefully the week goes by quickly for you. I'm seriously thinking about dusting off my resume and getting back in the corporate world after the first of the year - this could be interesting! - Lei

43 doesn't seem older until I get into a classroom at the college....where the majority of students are the same ages as my daughters (19 and 21). Some of them actually went to school with my kids. I have had a few of them come up to me and say..."Hi Mrs. O'Connell!" Thanks for the good vibes.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. We had a death in the family so I probably won't be bac****il Friday. Maybe I'll be able to read your updated "I got it" post by then. I can sooooo relate to your feelings about being over 40 in a class with young kids. I took a computer course at BU last year and I was even older than the instructor. It didn't help when he went around the room asking each of us a question and my answer had the whole class laughing. He asked me what math courses I took and in what years. All I could think to say was "At my age I am lucky it wasn't on an abacus. I remember taking math but I have no idea what I took and when." I was definitely like the Sesame Street song "One of these things is NOT like the other. One of these things just DOESN'T belong." There was me at the 44 yo end and one kid who was 16 at the other end. LOL Keep me posted. Carolyn

I don't go at night.....I am in the day program. I have managed to work my work schedule around my school schedule. I don't think I could do night school.
