Good Morning DeeDee! Yesterday I met my goals but struggled w/eating slower. This has been a problem for me since my emergency surgery the end of Jan. I had a perforated ulcer and my band had to be removed. Supposedly my pouch was made even smaller but the opening was bigger. I was told I would eat even less now but would have to eat more frequently since the food will not stay very long in my pouch now. Well, he was WRONG!!!! I can eat a whole lot more now and hardly ever get that full feeling now that the band is gone. This freaked me out. Sometimes I feel like I never even had this surgery. Anyway, I have been struggling w/esophogus (sp)spasams and reflux and my GI dr. told me I had to eat very slowly. Well, I use to before, but man alive, why am I woofing my food down now. I tell ya' let me hear one more time that I took the easy way out!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr...Just needed to vent. I pray I will get through this all soon. Anyway, one day at a time. For Today I will choose to: 1.Get ALL my H2o in. 2.Get ALL my protein in. 3.Do my treadmill for 20mins. 4.Work on eating S L O W E R......HeHe 5.Have fun w/my Best Friend who is coming for a few days today. I didn't get a chance to tan yesterday, but today I will have the time. Ahhhhhhhh, fun in the sun! Hoping you all a successful day in whatever you put your mind to doing. Jeannie

Huggs Jeannie. I was visiting with Susan Maria yesterday and she mentioned that eating quickly was one of her problems. She said someone suggested to her that she use her left hand to eat and she finds that helps to slow her down. Good day to you. Pretty soon I am gonna have perky breasts like you!

My vow today is to clean my house, I have neglected it this past week due to a headache, so I am behind in cleaning. my in laws are coming from Houston Texas either tonight or tomorrow, depends on if they drive straight through or stop for the night, they saw me back in May but I have lost about 20 pounds since then and a picture never really shows how we really look. I am sure they will be suprised to see me in my size 8 "LEAN" cut LEE jeans! Heck I was suprised they were mine when I went to fold them the other day when I was doing laundry! LOL I do vow though to drink pleanty of water today as I clean, just plain old water! Then I vow to make it to the support group tonight, this group is for people who are a year out or more, kind of like this room, the meetings my doctor has are for newbies and I dont get anything out of them... BUT he has listened and in October will start a second support group for people over a year out, which is great because its closer to my home. Donna 277/150ish
