I have noticed that on this board we tend to be very positive. We are quick to encourage one another and not quick to judge. We are more understanding and don't seem like we have to defend ourselves as much on here. I know for myself, I fell I can be more myself. Is this board perfect? By know means am I saying that, but I haven't seen any bashing here and the other things that have gone on on other boards. Not saying it eventually won't creep it's way into this one. I just think that there is less of a chance of that happening in here because we are striving at being very positive here. I just want to thank all of you for your help and input daily. What are your thoughts on this subject? An Awesome Day to you ALL..... Your Gastric Buddy, Jeannie Lap RNY 7-8-03 290/148 PS in Oct. of 04 and more to come!

Morning Jeannie I think you're absolutely correct. I also think that part of it is because the "glow" of being a newbie at all this has worn off some and the shine is off the silver so to speak. We're all at the "work" stage of things and have come to realize that this isn't just a peice of cake every day anymore. (mmmm.... cake) I too have to say thanks to everyone for being so inspirational to me. You are all such fantastic people I feel priviledged that you share so much of yourselves with us all. Have a super day. Fanny Open RNY 01-13-04 297/149 at goal and happy as a lark

Hiya Fanny, I agree w/ya about being at the working stage of this journey. It would be nice if we all NEVER struggled anymore, but reality is, we will probably always have to watch what goes into these mouths of ours. Thank God we do have this tool to work with! Glad to see that you are at goal. Keep up the good work. Jeannie

Thank you for posting that...I was in "lurk mode" because I felt I couldnt post anywhere...BEEN BASHED TOO MANY TIMES...Here...It seems we all understand each other...I only found this forum yesterday and I feel quite welcome... WE HAVE A LOT IN COMMON HERE. Where I used to post, It was like everyone was in competition with me...I was so much farther out that the others and that caused a problem. When offered advice, the others "challenged" what I said, etc etc etc...It was always some sort of CAT FIGHT on there..., instead of support. I just feel "at home and at ease here". thanks... Welcome Christmas Baby! Yes, we all do have a lot in common here. Support is sooooooooo key to our success and I'm afraid we sometimes forget that on OH. The day I stop being supportive, will be a sad day. Mainly for MOI!!! If I can't be encouraging than I can't expect encouragment to return back to me. We have to pay it forward. Glad you feel at home here w/the rest of us. Keep up the good work! Jeannie
