Today I vow to: ? Eat fewer than 1000 calories. ? Eat no more than three meals and one snack - no grazing! ? Work out in the gym after work. ? Drink a minimum of 80 ounces of water. I did well yesterday with my vows even though I didn't quite get in 100 ounces of water. I had one ounce of chicken for lunch and ended up with a plugged up pouch so drinking water was difficult. I had 555 calories, 40 grams of protein, 84 ounces of water, and I worked out in the gym after work. How did you do yesterday and what are you vowing to do today? Dee, I have to admit the last 2 days, I have been eating everything in the house, has been awful.... I can't get comfortable, it hurts to sit, stand and walk around, so I have been picking.. started off today with my protein drink, oh and I found and bought some cranberry vities last night, and you know, I know they are real, I can taste them... lol. Will see if it works the same as the real juice did.. today, I vow to pick up my knitting if I am tempted to graze!!!! You have a great day....

I posted on your good morning thread but I'll say it again. You told me that making these daily vows was very helpful and I proved that to myself this past weekend when I was out of town and let everything slide. Self discipline is a tough thing but it sure does have its rewards so I'm making my daily vows from now on! Hope those vities do the trick my cranberry fanatic friend! =) DeeDee

LOL, Oh Gosh I lived on that stuff, and I swore and still sweat that is what helped me lose the weight... so back to it, but thought I would see if I could save the calories, and take the pills instead and see if they have the same effect.... If not, then I go back to the Ocean Spray.... lol

Morning ladies, Yesterday was ok except for water-- My counceling session was good and she stressed how important getting my exercise in was for my mental health. Today I vow to drink 8 glasses water walk 1/2 hour get at least 60 g protein I was down to 157 this morning so something is working right. 12 pounds now to my original goal but I am sure I will be lowering it when I get there. I am a shortie -- only 5ft 2. Thanks so much for being here and offering your imput. This is a daily struggle even with our wonderful tool. We must never give up the battle. I had a nightmare the other night that I was 290 pounds again. I never want to go there!!! You all inspire me to keep going. Lucy

Way to go Lucy ... I'm jealous you're that close to your goal but I'm happy for you too! Keep up the good work and hopefully you won't have any more nightmares like that. DD

Dee--I'm going with your vows--except I'm probably gonna do my workout at home. Yesterday was a good eating day for me--but not a good exercise day. Ouch your plugged up pouch sounds yucky. I have twice recently had my pouch clogged by a hamburg. Have a great day.--I'm going to the ortho doc today--hopefully he'll have a magic cure for my knee problems.

I don't envy your knee problems... I had knee surgery in May (3 months after revision surgery). Fortunately my knee feels much better as a result but it sure slowed down my weight loss since I couldn't exercise much for a while. I hope you don't have any major problems and it can be a quick fix! Good luck on your vows today. DD

Hi DeeDee and everyone who is jumping on this train today. Yesterday I met all my goals. I even dropped 2Lbs. (I'm really motivated now!!!!) Yes, I even got on that treadmill that I have been avoiding. LOL.... Actually I had a good exercise regiment going until I had to have emergency surgery the end of Jan. and than lost too much weight. I thought if I exercised, it would take even more weight and inches off of me. By the time I was ready to do some weight training to build up my muscle, I stopped myself from joining a gym because I would only have to stop again in Oct. to have more PS and would have to continue paying for the 2months I wouldn't be using the membership. It seemed logical to me, LOL.... but when I started to put all the weight that I had lost back on (which was scary to do, but had to) and then added a few more than I wanted, it was time to do something again. So back to some form of exercise for this chicky... Today I aim to: 1.Get all my protien in. 2.Get all my water in. 3.No Bad Carbs.!!!!!! 4.Do 20 mins.on Treadmill. 5.Organize my shoes in closet. I did get to my bathroom yesterday too. So that is why I am adding things to my list other than WLS related. This helps me to be more accountable in other areas as well. As I said in another post, I struggle w/procrastination. Once I get started, I'm on a roll. So I am doing all that I can while the mood is good. LOL... Hoping everyone meets their goals today. I need to take a hint from you and add something else "productive" in my daily vows so I don't become obsessed with just weight issues. It would be nice down the road to have a focus more on other aspects of my life and the weight maintenance be somewhat normal part of my routine. So thanks for the idea... I'm adding something non-weight related to mine tomorrow. Congrats on dropping the two pounds and I hope your vows are going well today! DD
