I want to thank all of you *****sponded to my 'Conventional Wisdom' post earlier in the day or who simply chose to lurk. I think it met its objective. I regret that I simply do not have time to respond to each and every response, but I do thank you for the kind words expressed. We are awash in words and opinions and it takes time and effort to separate fact from fiction. As Chesterton said, "Only the living swim against the tide. The dead will always float with the current." We need to test the waters about us to ensure that we not being caught up in tides that take us further from our objectives. The decorum and discourse of the thread was exemplary. I wish I could pick up that thread, drop it on the main board and say "This is how it is supposed to be done." Feel free to revive the thread again. May I suggest that if you do, entitle the thread: Fact or Fiction: XXXXXXXXX. This would be our sign for informed discussion, no blustering, and certainly no "mine's better than yours so there" mindset. We all find ourselves collectively thrown together. We have a puzzle to solve. Let's get about the business of solving it. Jay/Nowhere Man/ PH

If was something to the effect that if you have a choice of having leaves or roots, always take the the roots. I will have to delve into some seldom used cerebrum to get to it. Actually coffee might be useful to get back into that dust bin! I think I shall have some. J
