Welcome Annie! You have come a long way baby!! It sounds like you have done fantastic. Conratulations on all you have accomplished. Keep up the hard work. After I see my ortho this week I am going to hire a pt too. I used to do a PT class where I lived before and it worked great for me. Good job on working on the depression. I have recently acknowledged I suffer from the same thing. It took me a long time to recognize it. I kept thinking it was a lealth issue. Finally my doc suggested trying an anti-depressant--she said maybe you are depressed. Ya know what--apparently she was right. It is funny because I have an absolutely awesome life with absolutely no reason to be depressed--but I guess that is what depression is Anyway--congrats, good luck and hope to see you around here again. It is nice to know we are all in this together.

Thanks, Lynda! I had a similar experience the first time I tried anti-depressants. I was reluctant, but now I am a convert. I think therapy is important, too, of course, but some of us just need some help. Thanks for the nice greeting. ~Annie

I can't imagine you depressed. After all, the Red Sox won last night....LOL. Glad you are working on it. And good luck with that knee. Now if we could just get DOUGLAS to do the same thing. All he does is bellyache about it and not go to the Dr. But then I'm a good one to talk.......hehe. 25 minutes and I'M OUTTA HERE. Hugs C

Charlie--That is why it never crossed my mind til the doctor suggested it. I guess being depressed is better than the alternatives I was worried about. As you know it took me a long time to do something about the knee--if I ignore it long enough will it go away? Well-the Sox are losing now.

Congratulations on the great weight loss, new job and seeking help for the depression. Sounds like you are doing all the necessary things to take care of yourself. I had a problem years ago with severe depression. Ten visits to the psychiatrist to deal with an old issue, a few months of Prozac and I was back to normal. I've never experienced a day of depression since I came off the Prozac. Hope your experience is as positive as mine. Best wishes for your continued success on your wls journey.
