UPDATE -230

Hello OH Family!!! I had my LAP RNY surgery on 10/16/03. What a ride it's been!!! In one year and ten months I have lost a total of 230 pounds, gotten my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, lost one job, quit two and finally made it to private practice as a Psychologist and Licensed Psychological Assistant! I also GOT MARRIED on June 26, 05 and had a lower body lift on April 4, 05!!! I now have a flat stomach!!! and can fly in any airplane, sit in any chair, shop in most stores, and wear a bathing suit or pants with NO cover up jacket or top! I wear little cotton t-shirt and tuck in my shirts. NO MORE LAYERING!! I still am recovering from the lower body lift-10 hours and 53 pounds removed takes it's toll! I also still will need a breast lift, "back fat" lipo, thigh lift and will need another tummy tuck. I still want to lose another 40 pounds. Can't wait to work out. I have been unable to exercise due to the lower body lift healing process. I found out that I have to have my gallbladder out! Soon!! My husband wants the surgeries to end..me too!! I want to have a baby as soon as I am all healed!! I am also starting the do psych evaluations and individual/group support sessions for bariatric wls patients. I just love being able to give the support back to the WLS community. I am also psychologically counseling obese children. The PS pictures are graphic but I believe that they will educate and inspire those who are looking into weight loss surgery and plastic surgery. My wedding pics are also on the site. Just look on the main page under "wedding" or "my weight loss journey" or "plastic surgery". I am not perfect but feel I look so much better then before. Scars will fade and muscles will get tighter BUT I feel gorgeous NOW!!!! Perfect is in the eye of the beholder!!! As I read my wish list on my profile for after surgery I have made all my goals. What a beautiful time it is. I am 40 and so happy, motivated, and enjoying life!!! Bless all of you for your support, your struggles, and your beautiful souls!!!! Marcy-- congratulations on your great success! Glad to see you update. I can't look at the pics yet as picturetrail is shut down for maintenance (it is the middle of the night). How cool to have met all of your goals and now giving back to others who suffer with our disease! That is awesome. Take care Marcy.

Marcy--Just got to look at the pictures--Wow! Hey your wedding pictures are great. You both look like you are walking on air. I love your wedding gown--especailly the sleeves. I have never seen a wedding dress with sleeves like that. Is it a two piece gown? I also think the tuxedo strawberries are adorable. I did catch the baby grand with the fruit--yummy. A beautiful spot for a wedding. Thanks so much for sharing your pictures.

Thanks!! The dress was one piece, but looked like two. I got it at David's Bridal. I tried on so many until I found the perfect one!!! The place was great!!! It was a dream!! oxoxoxox
