I posted this once already but it never showed up? ...anyway, lol, since Im too lazy to RETYPE a new one, let's just try cutting and pasting this one AGAIN, shall we? =================== ===================== G'morning friends - This is going to be a quick fly by - Im on my way out the door to do just what my "topic" speaks of..... MOVE my body!!! Meeting Kim (SunflowerGirl) at the RecCenter for our Deep H20 Classes and I VOW to move twice as much/faster then I normally would/have. I know to burn these calories Im gonna have to get the cardio going, get the heart pumping, and floating around like a MERMAID ain't gonna cut it. Oh, and guess what????? Uh, you might wanna sit DOWN for this one (especially those of you that know me WELL and know I hate the "E" word) ...anyway, I went to the GYM yesterday and actually got on ALL of the machines. Every last one of em, including the "E-stepper" can't remember the techie word for it. Now all that being said? I couldnt do much - 2 reps of 10 on each machine, probably 15 or 20 machines, but it's a START right? LOL, Im still in shock (awe?) with the fact that I went and that I enjoyed it. With the GYM now in my routine, I'll be working out FIVE days a week. Whod'a ever thunk it? Sooooooooooooooooooo - how about YOU, what will you be doing to MOVE YOUR BODY today? Hugs to all - Lei [gloss over the typos, Im in turbo mode]

Treadmill for 30-45 min with resistance training for 15 min. Maybe, some weights for 15 min. Or, walk my dog. She'd like that

I'm moving mine from Mississippi to Kentucky ... but it's on four wheels so I don't think I'm going to get a lot of benefit from it. TJ and I bought a bicycle built for two a few weeks ago but we're not quite ready to take on a 550 mile bike tour to the Kentucky cottage... especially in this heat! Good luck to you today!! DeeDee

My big success was just getting out of bed and getting ready for work this morning (up at 3:00 am - ugh). Does that count as moving enough? No actually tonight will be a swim night. I'm not very fast, but I try to keep going. I'm actually surprised at how much swimming can take out of you. It is a completely different tired than working out at the gym (I attend a step/body tone class regularly). You know what I do when I am working out on machines? I have a portable DVD player and I will watch a movie. Now if you are jumping from machine to machine this may not be the best idea, but when just using one machine (like say the eliptical) it can really take your attention off of everything else (my legs are hurting, I'm really panting, what?!! only 3 seconds have passed on the timer?!, now my butt is hurting, what?!! now its only been 5 seconds-just a small glimpse into my mind-scary). I found that I was getting bored on the machines without something to divert my attention. Watching the seconds SLOWLY tick away got real old real fast. Have a great day. Hugs Susan

I already moved enough today! went for a 3 mile walk down a long hilly country road. I am trying to get back into the routine of walking every day, it was just too hot this past summer Donna 277/150

did 45 minutes at the gym on the precor crossramp. I was going to do more but got caught up chatting w/ some of the other women there and ran out of time. I'll be spending the rest of the day corralling a 3 yo and a 6 yo (grandkids) & that should be enough exercise to win me an olympic medal. I'm proud of you doing the E thing even tho you don't like it, YET. I hated it at first it was just a chore I had to do. after a while it was better, now I love it. Get up by 5 am to go and if I miss I feel tired all dy.

I have an excuse.....I don't have to move I am exactly one week out today from plastics and since I got the JP drain removed yesterday she wants me to take it easy......I kinda got in trouble yesterday......I SO HATE RINGS IN TOILETS......so I scrubbed two of our three toilets and my daughters bathroom floor.....My PS said I shouldn't be doing that......she almost didn't take my drain out because of it! But I will do a little walking at the soccer field and park as tonight is my twins last soccer game with a pizza party following at the park. Take Care Jesi

I'm not going to listen to you because you're at goal and you know nothing. My exercise presently consists of trying not to step on my new puppy while expressing unbounded enthusiasm every time he goes outside for you-know-what (WhatAGoodPuppyWheeeeEEEWowWhatATalent!!!). I must sound like a complete idiot to my neighbors. Come to think of it that's not really new though.

hi Lei on Thursday I did 1 hour of hard core water aerobics---with water weights for upper body muscle building. also I did my third walking session at the high school track. With the autoimmune arthritis in the knees and hip I tend to stay in the water. However I want to do the Walk for Obesity in NYCity in October so I am in training for it Monday 1 1/2 mile in 30 minutes Tuesday 1 3/4 mile in 35 minutes and I added in some slow jogging 30 yards per lap skipped Wed Thursday 2 miles all walking 40minutes-----I had so much fun there are 6 marked lanes so I started in lane six and each lap I moved down a lane--then restarted back again ending at lane 3 for a total of 8 laps. It was almost like doing a meditation labyrinthe. Also the scenery did not hurt 6 of the local state police came to do there timed running- oh my god did they have amazing bodies on them. I love the track it keeps the mileage for me, it is padded rubber so easier on my knees and hip. I will be back there tomorrow-as I plan to do it every other day in addition to the water aerobics. gratitude is my attitude Amanda S VG-DS October 2001 highest >350/342 start of wls journey/154 @goal and after ps
