Plastics... what would you do?
Personally, I spent it on the surgery. Best money I ever spent (actually, I'm still spending it as it's not quite paid off yet!). I had a LBL and a breast lift. My insurance paid for the panniculectomy (covered hospital stay and OR cost) and I paid the remaining surgeon's fees and add'l OR fees. Find a spectacular surgeon though. It makes all the difference. I looked pretty bad though. My boobs were to my waist, and my panni hung below my pubic bone, so how much bang for your buck you get depends on how much skin you have. The TT and breast lift made the biggest difference. Outer thighs and butt, not so much.

Hi Michelle - nice to meet you. I would echo Lei and Janine too, although this is definately a personal decision. I decided I was worth much more than my outstanding debts, or needed home renovations and decided that I wanted to get all my plastic surgery done quickly so that I can heal all at once. I had a lower body lift in January which took care of my tummy (including muscle tightening), butt and outer thighs (DEFINATELY the biggest payoff of all of them), my eyes in February, my arms and breasts (lift and implants) in May and my inner thighs and neck in June. I was able to get insurance to cover 80% of the lower body lift, and paid for everything else myself. All told my out of pocket expenses came to about $26K. I figured I would finance a car if I needed one (which I do), but I was worth a whole lot more in the long run and did what I had to do. Debts will always be there - it's just a fact of life.
Whatever you decide to do with the 10K - make sure it is what YOU want!
Hugs,
Nannette
