Home from plastics
I have actually been home for a few days....but it is kinda uncomfy with the laptop on my lap! Plus for the life of me...I couldn't find this board again...Thanks Amy!!! All went well and they removed almost seven pounds of skin. I had a tummy tuck with an anchor cut and muscle tightening. My surgery was at 8:30am on Thursday and was over by 11am.....I was home resting doped up by 3! The first day I was super pucky feeling and had a hard time drinking and eating......and of course the pain pills have to be taken with food.....so to make a long story short...it took all my might not to It was much better the second day.....and I just take a valium and vicadon before bed and sleep like a baby.....she gives valium for muscle pain since she does all the tightening. I think the hardest thing is going to be taking it easy all this week.......I am already going stir crazy and went to walmart But all is good and I wanted to thank you all for the well wishes......with a super big thanks to K-man Thanks again for the prayers...I think that is why it went so well.......Take Care and see ya all soon jesi
Hello there you gorgeous lady, you!!
Im so happy to hear you're home and recoup'n from the latest round of surgery. What an exciting and wonderful chapter in your journey! LOL, yep, even if you are feeling kinda pukey and uncomfy at times, it'll be so worth it in the long run.
Take it easy, don't over do it, expect the swelling to be worse at night and GET SOME PICTURES UP woman, I wanna see that new tight flat belly!!!!
Hugs - Lei
Congrats on the surgery. FYI> Take it easy and don't wear yourself out.
I had a TT with Hernia repair in April. And man! did my muscles hurt !!
You need to rest since, now is the time your body needs to heal. Your back is going to be sore for a bit since you'll be bending over to walk. I suggest a pillow to sit on too.
Good luck and I'm glad your doing so well. (Out of the hospital the same day) your a trooper !!!
Thanks for the advice....I am 4 days out now and haven't really been hunched over at all.....so hopefully that wards off the back pain. My plastic surgeon prescribes valium for her patients that have the muscle tightening also......she says it really is just a super strong muscle relaxer and works great for the healing, and pain control......I am not even taking the vicadon she prescribed for incisional pain. If anyone is looking into the full tummy tuck with muscle repair...ask for valium, it is great! The only thing that is kinda sore is the hole where the drain tube comes out..but I expected that, as I remember that also from my wls. Thanks again for the advice ...Take Care jesi
I am happy you are doing so well. I hope to have a panniculectomy in about nine months...I am waiting on insurance approval. I can't believe you went home on the same day. I hope they keep me at least one night. Is the pain bearable? Please take care of yourself and don't try to do too much. Hugs and happiness, Tammy
