Good Morning, Coffee is Hot
Hey Val, long time no jump on the thread!
I spent my weekend collecting pledges for the American Heart Association Heart Walk. My goal is $5,000 - and I'm over half way there! I was very lucky doing the door to door thing last night. I had two houses in a row that collectively doanted $120! I about FELL OVER!!! I was last years Top Walker (fundraiser) and I hope to meet the goal again this year.
I'm stuck here at work with no field trips in sight because "Princess" is out until Wednesday of next week (GRRRR).
I'm happy we're finally getting some much deserved sunshine!
Other than that - that's all that's going on! Thanks for keeping the coffee hot!
Hey There, and Good Morning to you......
Great work, am proud of you.... Those are some great pledges, and I hope you do well again this year....
Is hot and muggy up here in Maine too.... was 89 out the last time I checked, am really thinking about breaking down and buying an a/c.... but don't know yet.
You have a wonderful day, and am proud of you keep up the great work....
Hi Val--glad to see you back. Missed you this week-end. Glad you guys got that furniture assembled. Hey--of course summer goes by quickly up there--it starts late and ends early. We used to go once every four years to the state championship ski race at Fort Kent. How far are you from there? I think I had a hairdresser that was from Houlton. I remember we determined that it was just as far a ride from Portland to Fort Kent as it was from Portland to DC.
It was very sad to hear about Peter Jennings. Gosh that was quick. Did you hear the news about Holly Hunter? She is 47 and expecting twins! That is my age--wow! Have a great day--I just have a few more days in Boston then back to Florida for a couple weeks.
Lynda,
She is my age too, and ummmm I don't think I would be interested in having another at this age, unless of course it was a grandbaby... lol... but lets not cross that road yet, till she graduates.
I "think" Fort Kent is on the other side of the county.. I believe we are all aroostook county... we are exit 302 off of 95, if that helps..
I know but am glad that the media let that poor man die with dignity, and respect....
Sounds like you are having a great time shopping in Boston. I too love shrugs, and I love them at night over my pj's when I am a little chilly, I started making them just after surgery, cause I was always so cold. Am sure that they are going to come in handy this winter.....
Have a great time for the rest of the time in Boston, and WHEN you are up this way please stop in.....
Morn'n to you VAL (although its noon here..lol)
This is a great thread. I am recovering from weekend shopping with my daughter and grand children....my credit card and my butt are worn out. But I am here at work and soooo happy...not! I need to win the lottery so I can lounge all day. (Guess I should by a ticket if I really want to do that...hmmm)
BTW, you house sounds wonderful...hoping you will take some pics for us to see when you get it the way you want it.
Have a great day,
Joyce
PS...where is Delores?
Good Morning Joyce.... well afternoon for me too... lol
Don't know where our Delores has been hiding, but hope she is having fun at whatever she is up to.....
The house is great for an old farm house,,,, but in the 2 months we have been here, we have been really busy.... we had to dig a new well, get the septic fixed, get the ho****er heater flushed, and everyday something is new to get fixed.... lol.. but we are maintaining hopefully we have everything just about covered so we can get by for the winter, and start hard again in the spring, with some new windows, doors, and siding..
I know the owners were tired and old, but I think this old house really got away from them.. but little by little we will get it back to where it should be.... Is a great retirement project, and just a fun project in general.. am looking so forward to getting Marianne back in school next week so I can start painting and wall papering....
How is your day going? I know about sore butts, and a very sore credit card, Marianne didn't know what she wanted for school this year, so of course she had to get a little of EVERYTHING.... lolol... ehhh what the hey you are only young once....
You have a wonderful day too......
HEY!!!!! ...what about us peeps that like our coffee ICED!!! hmmm?
G'morning Val, er.... I mean afternoon! Yep, Iz late, but Im here and that's what counts, right?
Got up early - went to the gym, did Deep Water H20 with Kim (SunflowerGirl) then off to my first tanning appointment. Figure if Im heading to Oklahoma at the end of the month and we're gonna spend FOUR of those days out on the lake in a boat, I better get my lily white butt tanned ASAP. Oklahoma SUMMERS can be so unforgiving and clouds are far and few in between.
Im soooooooooooooooooooo LOOKING forward to my trip - the girls I'll be hooking up with (and their hubbies) have been friends/sisters of mine for over 25 years. This month can't go by FAST enough, Im in major need of a "sis" fix! Unfortunately Paul is NOT going to be able to go, which is a major bummer - but I did talk Keoni into it (these ladies Im meeting are also his Aunties, so it didnt take much talking, he loves and misses them too).
Oh - and while Im there? Im gonna hook up with Jay (Poppa HotRolls) -- so that's another PLUS about the entire trip. LOL, can't wait to see if he's as bratty (funhy/sarcastic) in person as he is on the boards.
Wanna join us for some good ol' OKIEVILLE BBQ?
Hugs - Lei
