Hi all, I had lunch with Patty Butler, it was so much fun!! We went to a Mongolian Barbeque place, we both filled up on meat and veggies, no rice! And it was delicious! We had a lot of catching up to do, it had been a while since we have been together. Patty is four years postop and she has lots of experience/ wisdom that I benefit from. Patty, let's not wait so long next time, you know I love to eat out!! (Then I went shopping, it's sales-tax-free weekend in Texas!) Woohoo! Hugs, Connie

I'm jealous! What a fun way to spend a Saturday. I'm glad you two had a great time. What did you buy? =) DeeDee

DeeDee, I went nuts, I went into more detail under Patty's reply, but I ended up saving about $70 just in sales tax---it adds up! Plus everything I bought at Neiman's and Dillards was on sale on top of that. I just love retail therapy!! Plus---a first---I bought a thong at the lingerie shop---I never thought I would be able to do that, but thanks to my lower body lift, it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.... Hugs, Connie

Connie, I had a terrific time - the food was ALMOST as good as the company. What great bargains did you find? I found out that the award my son got was 2005 Merchant of the Year for Fry's Plano - Software Dept. He's proud of it, in spite of himself. Let me know if you get that phone call. Patty

How nice for your son---he should be proud!!! I didn't realize he works at Fry's Plano, that's cool! I went on a major shopping jag---got some pretty lingerie at a specialty shop in Plano. Then tonight I went to Willow Bend Mall, hit Neiman's Last Call sale, found a pair of pants and a skirt for about $60 each (good brands), and of course, anything you can find under $100 at Neiman's is a huge bargain!!!! Then cruised over to Dillard's---they stayed open until 10 pm, and it was almost deserted by 9 pm. Got 13 pieces (tops, pants and skirts) for an average of $33 each---and no tax of course. What a haul!!! Whew, shopping is hard work....not aerobic but at least I was walking around....LOL I'll keep you posted on the romance saga....keep your fingers crossed.... Hugs, Connie

Sounds like a good time to me!! How often do they have these sales-tax-free weekends? Connie

Only one weekend each year right before school starts, any clothes or shoes $100 or under. It's supposed to help families buy school clothes, of course I'm not a student but hey, I love a bargain!!!!!! Hugs, Connie too
