Cap'n K-Man made it home in one piece...
Mornin' Peeps.
Well, day one of my hell weekend is over and I am happy to say I made it back home in one piece. I didn't even doze off driving home at 4 this morning. I didn't feel too tired at all last night but was getting pretty sore and I think my abdomen (where the hernia repair was done) is a bit swollen today. I feel bloated and feel like I am coming down with something. I just wonder if one of the sites where the mesh is tacked on is getting infected because I feel kind of like I have a touch of the flu and am achey all over. If I don't feel better by Monday, I am going to the doctor or at the very least, will be calling my surgeon (who is 2.5 hours away) and see what he thinks may be going on.
Not to worry though...I will try my best tonight to take it as easy as I can and am being sure to drink PLENTY of water before I start with the caffeinated soda. Sorry, but I need the caffeine to keep myself alert and awake around the machinery and for the drive home.
Well, I am off to bed in just a few minutes, so I don't know if I will be able to respond to any or many of you. If not, just know that I will read as many as I can before I leave for work and I'll be back on for a short time tomorrow again before work.
Take care of yourselves and make it a good weekend...Cap'n K-Man
Hey Deb!!
I have my binder on now and am just about to leave for work. It will be a long night, but I'll do my best to get through it. I feel a little better now that I got some sleep and will feel even better after this hell weekend is over...
Good to see ya today and hope you are having a great weekend..Cap'n K-Man
Hey Tammy.
I had my repair on June 9 and I am still pretty uncomfortable from it. Today, I have a pretty big bump right over one of the sites where the mesh was tacked on to the muscle. It's about the size of a silver dollar and sticks out about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. It is making me pretty cranky and my kids unfortunately are home now to put up with me.
Hope you are feeling better soon and take care of yourself...Cap'n K-Man
