little WOW moment I amost missed
Hi all, today my husband, 16 year old daughter and I went to the movies, they have staduim seating but I always like to sit on the center level so I dont have to go up or down any stairs. (I wear braces on my legs and its hard to get up in a dark theater when its dark)
well before the movie started I had to go to the bathroom and when I got back the movie still had not started so I just took my seat next to my husband. then I asked him a question and my daughter made a funny noise and asked me "when did you get back?" I told her maybe a minute ago and then asked why, she said I did not even see you walk by. your so skinny now that I missed it.
made me smile...

I don't know about you, but comments like that from our children mean so much more than they would from someone else.
When I was about 7 months post-op, my son and I had been to WalMart shopping. I had on shorts (this was the first time I had worn shorts since long before he was born) and we decided to go to a movie. I asked him if it would embarass him for me to wear the shorts because if it would, I would go home and change clothes (remember, guys, I had thighs from H***). His response was, "If people don't like it, **** them. You look great and I am so proud of you." Now, guys, this was from a 18 yearold boy - who normally had the sensitivity of an onion. I literally started crying.
So, treasure the comments from everyone, but especially treasure the ones from your children.
