MY "Ah Ha"
Dec 2002 I was on a cruise through the Panama Canal when I realized that I was at the end of my rope with the no win diet merry-go-round. Upon my return I began my crusade for a healthier happier Susan. Well on August 6th 2003 I was graced/blessed with the most amazing tool for a better life...my Lap RNY. I have not been as active on the boards as I used to be but I contribute that to the fact that I am out living life like never before. I just wanted to express my thankfulness to this wonderful forum of people with a common cause...to LIVE and to take ownership of our health. I won't get too sappy but I will share one thing...Just tonight the man in my life...not knowing that tomorrow will be my 2 year post op mark said...I just booked us on a cruise in June...PICK ME!!! I am soooo ready...full circle and lovin life. Best wishes to all no matter where you are on your journey. Stay focused on the prize and you journey.
BIG BIG SMILES, Susan
Susan, I went on a cruise with my family this last Christmas week. I was concerned about maintaining my weight---with all that food, but I had no problem. I stayed active, walking on the promenade deck and using the fitness center several times. And they had sugar-free desserts at every meal.....yum!! I weighed the first day at the fitness center, and kept weighing myself all week (that's what worked for me), and did great---you will too!
You'll have a great time!!
Hugs,
Connie
