when I asked my doctor what weight he thought I should get to & he said lets wait and see where your body settle into a comfortable weight. you will lose to a certain level then regain about 10% and that is where you will likely stay. I wanted a number dammit! However, I have lost to a certain point, not regained anything, stay 130 -135 very consistantly since Jan 2004. My bmi is still >25, and even tho I would like it to be less, I have just decided It is not realistic for ME. I still like to eat and I have a pretty good diet, exercise consistantly and feel WONDERFUL! Goal met. focusing on different numbers now my blood pressure that was once 220/110 is now 110/70, my cholesterol was 240+ is now 130's. before: 5 minutes slow on the treadmill nearly killed me. Now: I can do an hour of serious cardio, 4-5 times a week before: ab crunch??? what the hell is that and why would anyone want to do that???? now: I can do 3 sets of 15 reps on the ab crunch machine at 50 pounds. before 50+ inch waistline now: 32 inch waist

I'm obsessed also with reaching "normal". I have 6 lbs to go but really don't want to lose anymore! Go figure! I just want to be normal for once in my life. My doctor set my weight and I have 4 lbs to his goal. I reached my own goal already. I don't think you're silly. Maybe we just both !
