I was in my local Super Wal-Mart today at the deli getting some cold cuts, I happened to look down at the assortment of breads etc for my family and saw a low carb Flatbread.. It's called Carb Count "FlatOut" flatbread. 110 calories, 8 net carbs and 11 grams of protein. I dont usually do bread, but sometimes it's a nice change to toast it and put some feta, mushrooms and spinach with a bit of Olive Oil..which is what I craved for lunch...SO, I bought a pack of the whole wheat, though it does come in flavors, but since I didnt know if i'd care for the flavored one I went with the no fail whole wheat .. First of all..it is HUGE, SO, I was able to cut it in half and toast it and it was really really good..I couldnt even finish the whole half. So, I know a lot of people dont do carb type breads..and that's cool, but just wanted to let you know that there can be a somewhat healthy alternative for the special occasion when one feels like indulging I already had my husband try it and he loved it! So you can make pizzas, enchiladas (since they are fairly thin) or anything else you can come up with..for me..it's a nice change from the low carb tortillas I usually buy..mainly for the toastability (if that is a word!lol) and texture. Anyways, just an FYI

Aaaaaw MAN!! I wish I'd read this yesterday, I was just at WalleyWorld and woulda looked for them. Thomas brand used to have an AWESOME lowcarb w/10 grams of protein PITA BREAD, that was to die for. Me and a buncha' friends here in VA became addicted to 'em, bought the shelfs out everytime they were stocked and then found out about a month ago, that they are NO LONGER selling them. Yanked the product, probably not enough sales? grrr! Anyway - thanks for the tip, Im looking for a "bread" replacement. - Lei
