wrote our own book

hi all. Yawn, I just got up from a wonderful nap and while I was falling asleep I got this idea, since so many people who come to the main page are looking for help and something others have tried, why not a bunch of us "Grads" get together and make a pamplet or work book that we can make on the computer and send it out to those who ask. kind of like a general knowlege of WLS I was given a work book with what to expect before and after surgery and I have a dietician that is on call all the time or even E-mail. Tooter has already compiled so much info and so have others, I am not good with computers but I know someone much be. does anyone like this idea???? Donna

It's a good idea, but I don't think it would help. Between my website and things on Lei's profile and others, AND the library here...people have a feeling that thier situation is unique to all others and want individual attention. Sigh....I do agree with others though that I won't be answering questions here unless they are FROM grads. I and others float the main and state boards often enough that new posties don't need to post here....lurking and learning is great though. It's what I did on yahoo the whole first year - lurked and listened and absorbed. I hope new posties can do that on this board. It's a respect issue to me. (((HUG)))

Tooter-I agree--you can lead a horse to water but can't make em drink. I know I get frustrated by people asking the same questions that have easily accessible answers repeatedly. Ya know it used to bug me at work too, I always like to be able to know how to find my own answers. A research nut--that is me.

Yeah me too...but I'm sure I drive my boss nuts sometimes too

Cool idea Donna. Send it out there free For the taking. That's is a lot of work..... I'm completely Amazed at Tooter's site. The amount of work and hours that represents. In this case, there could be a little input from A larger number so that the load is distributed. Keep taliking this idea up and see where it goes. Best Wishes- Dx

There is a new book out called WLS for Dummies, anyone hear of it? I have it but have not read all of it. Unjury has a special on their website when ordering it. Pretty cool what I have read. Amazes me how they can make so many of those books. Theresa
