Guess What I did today.....
So I had to take Marianne out to the mall for school clothes and supplies.. Well the mall is 2 hours from here, so we had a great time singing on the way down.... well anyways.... for some reason I walked into the New York Boutique in the Mall.... I knew I wouldn't find anything that fit.... boy was I wrong, for the first time in my life I bought clothes at a Boutique!!!!!!
I got a suede blazer in brown, a white camisole to go under it, and a pair of embroidered jeans... No lie... Marianne said Mom, you look hot.... my daughter said that to me..... so see even after almost 2 years out, we still have our ah ha moments......
Hope you all had a great day.....
Am patiently waiting here for Joanne, Lynda, and Rita to get on to tell us how their day went... I hope they had a fantastic day.....
Love ya's,
Me
Hey you...Don't ya want to know how my day went too??? You had a SUPER "aha" moment!!...Way to go!!!
I didn't do much. Went to a friends about an hour and a half away to pick up a futon. It is so cool and will look GREAT in our new house!! Then I took a nap and just didn't have much energy for anything else. I didn't get my walk in and feel pretty sore still from the hernia recovery. I don't know how I'm gonna be able to work starting this weekend. If I am this sore....Hmmmmm....
Anywho...Glad you had a good day and hope tomorrow is even better!!...Cap'n K-Man
Fruit of the Loom,
Of course I want to know how your day went.....
Am glad you got the futon for your new house, seems when you move all furniture is needed...
I walked the mall today, and ended up sitting on a bench with Mike, people watching... Was inspired by a blind man today... he walked that mall like no other.. And discovered that the girls up here wear the same as the girls down south... barely nothing!!!!!!
I honestly thought it was a city thing, boy was I wrong...
Ayeeeee that hernia surgery hurt worse then the RNY did... I hope I never have to go through that again, took a good 6 months to feel like myself again.. is a hard surgery, and yes I do feel sorry for you... (just don't tell anyone) How long has it been since your surgery? and are you sure you are ready to go back??
Also, you best becareful moving, you don't want to tear the mesh.....
You have a great night too, and even a better day tomorrow....
Sounds like you and Marrianne and Mike had a great day. Your ego got quite a boost today.
I had a pretty dull day - spent most of it trying to get a report that my boss needed - didn't get if finished before I left at 4. I hate doing reports in that program.
I didn't walk but a little over 2 miles at lunch but had done some serious walking in spurts earlier - had to take some printed material to the registrar's office and the box was pretty heavy - especially considering I was carrying it on one arm and using the cane with the other hand. That was about 1/2 mile walk and out in the sun - I was drained when I got back from that.
Went to the grocery store on the way home - got some really good grapes.
That was my exciting day. LOL

LOL Patty,
Grapes are a very important staple in my life..... lol....

I bought a new greeting card program today too, so will have to sit down later and figure that out..
Talk with you in a while........

I'm so jealous! That is one thing I want to do when I finally "arrive" ... shop at boutiques. I remember when I lived in small town Mississippi, back when I was a size 10, and one of the shops would get in their new clothes and put back things they thought I'd like. They would call me to come pick them up and let me take them out on "consignment." I'd take them all home, try them on, keep what I liked, and return the rest. I doubt that will happen anywhere in this day and time but I sure did love it during the 70s.
I can only imagine the thrill you felt! What a fun outting for you and Marianne.

Wow, you look hot Mom! What a compliment. We had an awesome day. They were really a blast. My favorite part was the shopping. Ya know what--I have never in my whole life gone shopping with a bunch of girls. I was always too self conscious--did I spell that right? or did spending the day with Joann rub off on me. LOL! Just kidding Joann.
You should have seen Joann in her white gown--I'm tellin you she looked like a princess. Now we have to find an event for her to wear it to so she can buy it. I couldn't have imagined a better day--these girls were awesome.
Val,
I love embroidered jeans and jeans that are beaded. They look so cool. I guess at 2 years out my next ah ha moment will come with PS. I refuse to buy any more clothes until after it is done, my PS says we are looking at about 25 pounds of skin. No wonder my pants NEVER fit right. LOL.
Hope ya have a wonderful day today.
I wanted to ask you yesterday Val but I forgot how is Terri?? I havent talked to you in so long and I havent heard from her at all.
Hugs

Good Morning All,
I would just like to share a few thoughts from yestarday's outing.
First and most importantly I had just the most wonderful day shopping walking walking and more walking!!!!(Fanueil Hall, downtown, waterfront park and The North End(little Italy) a concert on City hall steps and back downtown).
I even took the train downtown for this first time in twenty years!!!
All of this would not have even been a thought two years ago!!!!!
I would have made it as far as our first stop(Starbucks) and sat at a table just talking.( a good time but...)
Shopping was always alone because it didn't matter what I bought. I bought it because it fit not because I liked it or even had a choice. If it fit you bought it in several colors!!!!
Thank you ladies for a wonderful day filled with laughter and many WOW moments
