Calories question...
Michelle,
My surgeon turned me on to a great website calorieking.com. It's free and you can plug in any food and come up with the protein, fat, carbs, fiber etc. I plugged in rotisserie chicken and was able to come up with the info you wanted (for half a chicken). The program has lots of brand names and fast foods, so check it out.
thx

Hi Michelle
It depends on where you are getting your chicken at as many places (including Costco) infuse the chicken with sugar. It would also depend on the size of the chicken.

I travel for a living so I usually buy my dinners at the local grocery store in whatever town I am in. Most stores are now carrying rotisserie chickens for about $5 and I've been eating the skin (yikes!) and a good portion of just the breast. I have no clue how much all of this is in calories. I know the skin I probably should not have. I had no idea about the sugar since I haven't noticed at nutritional panel on any of them.
Thanks Caroline,
Michelle

Standard stats for 1/2 a chicken, bone removed WITH skin is
715 calories, 81 grams of protein, 40 grams of total fat. That's 1/2 of the WHOLE chicken, roasted commercial - deli-style.
An interesting statistic...the skin on this half chicken computes to:
254 calories, 11 grams of protein and 23 grams of fat.
