Is this the place to be?
I drink real coffee.. and real coffeemate (usually 1-2cups a day) lol... but nope dont do the carbonated beverages ... After my first WLS I forced myself to start drinking them again and think it was my downfall... it really screws up my kidneys when I over drank them so I guess i'll stay away from them this time ---

what about u??
I've never been a coffe drinker so no I don't drink coffee.
I do drink several diet cokes a day. I went 9 months without them and decided I just couldn't last another day. My surgeon says they don't stretch the pouch so if they don't make me uncomfortable they're fine. I find if I pour them over ice it gets rid of a lot of the carbonation. They cause a lot of gas for me if I don't pour them over ice.
Have a great day!
Welcome, Mark. Let's see that new hubba-hubba picture dude! I have to have at least one cup of REAL coffee a day. I usually have a Starbuck's
Sugar-Free Vanilla, Non-Fat Latte. It is such a treat. If I have a second cup at some point during the day, I switch to decaf. I NEVER allow myself carbonated beverages however. They were one of my major weaknesses pre-op and some bad habits are just not worth revisiting! Best of luck to you, Mark!
XOXO

Real coffee yes- carbonated drinks no. I indulge in my Strabucks non fat latte every day. I figured that if I could keep one thing that I LOVED I would be willing to say no to all the other temptations. It has worked so far. Helps with the protein. My only restriction is that if I am not getting enough water in, I can't have it. What a motivation!
