Zinc supports a healthy immune system. It is needed for wound healing, and helps maintain your sense of taste and smell. Zinc also supports normal growth and development during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence. Zinc plays an important role in the reproductive system helping in the development of sperm and assisting with ovulation and fertilization. Oysters have the highest source of zinc per serving. Zinc sources include red meat, poultry, beans, nuts, certain seafood, whole grains, fortified breakfast cereals, and dairy products. Vegetarians may need as much as 50% more zinc than non-vegetarians because of the lower absorption of zinc from plant foods.

Good post! Also, Zinc is associated with hair regrowth and used to help prevent and treat hair loss. DeeDee
