Patty,
You started this post on the day that I am having to fast for bloodwork at 9:30. I'm going to miss having my regular breakfast but I'm taking a cheese stick to eat as soon as the bloodwork is finished.
I have always been a breakfast eater because I'm an early bird and I can't stay going at full momentum if I skip it.

DeeDee,
I have a difficult time with breakfast. I get up early and usually don't have anything but coffee or crystal light til about 9 - then I have a protein drink and don't have lunch til 1:00. I find that once I start eating, I don't want to stop - so I'm wondering if I'm waiting too long. That's why I had a protein drink before leaving home this morning. I had my salad and chicken at noon instead of 1:00 and walked from 2:00 - 3:00. It worked pretty well for me til I got to the grocery store and bought some grapes - about 1/2 pound and there isn't a single grape left (slapping my hand).
I just checked my calories and did ok with them - under 800, even with the grapes but the carbs were high.
I'm never very hungry first thing in the morning, but if I don't eat I don't get another chance until after 12pm so....I got up and had about a cup of salad wth a couple slices of chicken on top.
I don't know what I'm having for lunch, lean cuisine probably...ugh
Dinner will be a pork chop with some green beans.
lite & fit yogurt with 1/4 C of kashi hi protein crunch on top. 8 gms protein and 138 calories. Leaves me feeling full all morning so I have it almost every day.
I have no problem getting 100+ grams of protein most days eating it, with out drinking any protein drinks. My weight has maintained for 1 year and 8 months with out using any protein shakes except for post plastic surgery when I was not hungry and felt I needed to force something down so I could heal well. I had dropped down too low on my weight and was getting a little haggard looking. I find that if I substitute shakes for food I gain weight tho, and stay hungry all the time. they just run right thru me like I never had anything. So, I eat. I average about 1600 calories a day and exercise a minimum 1 - 1 1/2 hours 4 -5 times a week. I can't believe how muscular I am getting too! It is awesome. I even had someone at work come up and compliment me on the shape of my arms.
When I started working out all the time I put on 7 pounds in a few weeks, but my pants got looser, so I am sure it was muscle.
Some home made pimento cheese on wasa and 1/2 cup coffee. I started with the coffee earlier and it made me feel icky, which sometimes it will. I don't know why it does it sometimes, but it does. I laid back down for about 20 mins and feel better now. When I got back up I ate the pimento cheese and wasa. I've got one of those South Beach lunchable thingys I'm going to have for lunch and I have pork roast in the crock pot for dinner.
