Most Successful PAST Diets....
Okay we should be learning from our past failures right? Have any of you thought about your past diets? How did they help you? Why did they fail? What can you take away from the experience....
Mine would be Optifast. I lost over 100 pounds in 6 mos. It worked because I took food away from me. I found I did have a very strong sense of control then. It failed because I could not stand the support group sitting there talking about food for two hours! It drove me nuts!
What about you?

My most successfull past diet was weigh****chers... I lost 100, but the catch was going to the meetings and being accountable... once I thought I could do it on my own, I failed.... I think kind of like I feel here... I need the support, I can hear what everone is thinking and feeling and find out that 99.9 of the time , I have thought or felt it and I am not alone... sort of works like the W.W meetings lol
I lost 140 lbs in 9 months on Optifast but looking back know that wasn't a good solution. After all we can't go the rest of our lives without food. It lowered my metabolism so badly that eating 800 calories a day and exercising like a fool I regained at a rate of 5 lbs a week. I gave up after two months and ate what I wanted since dieting wasn't working. All of the weight was regained within 18 months.
Story of my life lose and regain. I've probably lost 600 lbs in my lifetime to regain it. Is it any wonder I'm scared to death of regain as I go onto maintenance? I know I have my tool to help this time but I also read about so many regaining.
