Where do I fit in?
OK here's a little ME history...
My names Kat Bird. I'm 2.5 years post op. How far out is everyone here so far? I'm trying to figure out if this forum is where I should be.
I had LAP RNY 1-29-03. I lost 178 lb meeting and exceeding my goal and my surgeon's goal. I reached 129-135/138 lb and stayed there. My hubs and I began TTC @ just about 18 months post op and became preggers right away. During my preggers journey I gained 45 lb. Well, I've only lost 15 of those lb and am truthfully struggling. I'm angry, fed up with the weight and am trying to get it off. My goal is to get back to a comfortable weight then apply for reconstructive surgery. I have serious excess skin and need to get it removed because of some lovely health issues. I'll spare ya'll the details. Believe me the thoughts of more surgeries is sucking but I am tired of the health issues. Any advice would be great appreciated.
Thanks
Kat

You fit in right here, with all the rest of us struggling. It is really hard when regular life and its problems invade on our well orchestrated post WLS life. We were in such amazing control as we went through the initial journey and lost all the weight. I know it is frustrating when it doesn't come easier anymore. Although the specifics may differ, the general feelings of frustration are common to us all. I am one who tries to find a positive in everything that is thrown in my path. Yes, you have 30 unwanted #s. But a little price to pay for the bundle you received in return. Hang in there ( and here ), you can do it!
