How much should I be able to eat at a single sitting? 8 yrs out

Id say I eat 1/2 a typical restaurant sized meal... I don't weigh/measure any more so its hard to say.. also depends on what I am eating how quickly I will get full. I feel I eat "normal" compared to most people.. however if I eat around somebody who doesn't know I had WLS they usually comment at how little I eat.. or how I only eat 1/2 etc. I like feeling satisfied more than I like feeling full... to me when I fell full its usually over full and not comfortable..

I'm 6 1/2 years out.  I have a shake for breakfast with 1 cup of   almond milk.  Mid-morning I have Greek yogurt or cheese stick, something with protein.  Lunch may be a salad with Turkey, cheese or chicken.  Afternoon snack might be a Quest or Think Thin bar or a protein powder mixed in water and lots of ice.  Dinner is meat, fish or chicken and  a veggie. I don't weigh my food often, but when I weigh meat or chicken it's 2-3 oz.

One thing I can eat a lot of is  tortilla chips so I avoid them.  I occasionally eat at a Mexican restaurant and indulge I chip.  When I eat all, I always bring half home..

Until recently, I couldn't stand eggs....weird.

I am 6 years out from rny. I had a great success, losing 150 lbs. My issue: I was never full! From early on, I could eat a LOT at a sitting..for example, a large tossed salad and a whole chicken breast. No restriction at all. Also no dumping. I managed to incorporate healthy habits like drinking my water, exercise and weighing an measuring everything I ate. However, I have had a pretty large regain of 55 lbs ...mostly because I quit measuring and started incorporating unhealthy food choices. I have an incredible sweet tooth! I found an awesome program that is ideal for wls grads, convenient, healthy and doable. Mostly I love it because when I am following the plan I am never hungry! I have lost 23 lbs since Jan. 1 and it is amazing! I would love to share with you if you will message me!

I am doing a program called Take Shape For Life. It is not a "magic pill" or quick fix, but a nutritionally sound, doctor created program. Basically, you eat 5 small pre-packaged "meals" per day-one every 3 hours. Each meal is equally balanced in calories, protein, fat, fiber, vitamins and minerals etc. so your body responds so well to it! Along with the 5 pre-packaged meals you also eat one lean and green meal per day. (5 and 1 plan****il you reach your goal, then you transition into maintenance. All with the help and encouragement of a personal health coach! I have now lost 31 lbs since Jan.2 and hope to start transitioning into maintenance in about 10 more lbs! I am seldom hungry and have energy to burn! I think I have finally resolved my unhealthy relationship with food. Please visit my website for more information!  Highway2Health.tsfl.com     There really is an answer to our food issues and regain!

12 years out and I thankfully can not eat very much so I try to make good choices . Screw up sometimes, not perfect but maintaining my loss. I personally would not do a shake if you feel hunger. I can eat one egg. But each person is different.
