Can I really lose regained weight
Just keep at it. I have heard that you can stretch your pouch but I have also experienced that slowly you can shrink it so that you lose weight. Don't forget about nutrition and protein intake. I had gained 5 pounds in a week and decided that I was eating too much. I know that this is not a lot of weight but it is significant to getting on the wrong track. I simply lowered my calories slowly and I was back to my goal weight in two weeks. Don't feel helpless you still have your tool you just need to sharpen it and it will take time. continue to exercise and count your calories and protein.
Yes!
I regained 60lbs of the 200 that I had lost. My regain was gradual over a 2 year period. I finally put an end to it and got back on track.
I lost that 60lbs in 5 months.
It can be done! I just cut my carbs really low and focused on my protein. I lost all my regain quickly (44 of it in 2 months..which was 20% of my body weight). And now I have gone even lower than I was when the regain began.

Hell I am 10 years post op my start weigh was 355 then my lowest was 170. Between 2009 and 2013 I had 5 pregnancies so I am finally done with that. However after each baby I bounced back to around 195-200 however I got up to 230 a few months ago. Currently I am eating 3 meals a day focusing on protein only water no more sodas no sweets and drastic reduction in carbs. I know when I stick to it I can lost about 10-15 lbs in a month. Do you have any more pointers from your loss. I would appreciate it.
I track everything that I eat in MFP (username ashleydillo - I have my food diary open) and I only eat when I am hungry. Often, it will be the afternoon before I have my first meal. If I am still really not hungry, I will protein shake it up. I always aim to hit my protein goal, even if it means using shakes and I never go above 20g total carbs. I am not afraid of healthy fats and use full fat dairy. I do not stress calories. This is what works best for me. I am also sedentary and haven't exercised at all. Old habits die hard and I am just lazy and unmotivated to move regularly. But it just goes to show weight loss and maintenance can be achieved by diet alone!

Absolutely. I had a 45 pound re-gain, which I re-lost plus more, using the help of a WLS support group, a nutritionist, and the program of Overeaters Anonymous. The tool still works. We just have to stop working around it.

WLS 5/31/07. Maintaining a weight loss of 141 pounds and feeling amazing!
Hi! I am a new member and have regained 40 pounds of a 100 pound weight loss.I had my surgery in 2004.I feel my pouch has stretched and am hoping with increased protein and very little carbs I can shrink it.Is it possible to shrink a stretched pouch?I get so many cravings when I am in the sugar and carbs. How long does it take for the cravings to pass?I am also 50 yrs. old and am in menopause so my metabolism has realllllyyy!!! slowed.I really want this though and am willing to be patient.I just want to know if the tool of WLS is still there or have I compromised it too much.also, has any one had alcohol issues? ugh...It got ugly but have not had a drink in 3 years. Thanks!
