Anybody with a G Tube or had a G Tube please respond!

My surgery was on Sept. 17th I came home with a G Tube (gastrostomy) due to the extensive gastric bypass revision I had done.  I have lost 14 pounds already so the tube moves in and out a good bit when I breathe. The site the tube is coming out of stays red and sore with drainage.  Also, they say the tube which has the balloon attached is inside my old stomach.  However when I drain the tube I can see some of the protein and liquids that I have drank during the day.  I am not having to use the tube for feedings.  Why would I see anything that I swallow and goes through my pouch - drain out of the tube.  I hope I am making sense it just confuses me?  Thanks.
