RNY and Rheumatoid Arthritis

I am 11 years out from my surgery.  Lost 125 pounds but 5 years later gained 50 back but lost that so I am back to where I want to be.  However, in these 11 years I have had severe anemia (almost hospitalized). That is now under control and recently diagnosed with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis.  Having to take injections (Cimzia) once a month for treating the arthritis.    Has anyone else developed RA after having surgery?     Also, during the blood work for determining I had RA it was discovered that I had latent TB and because of the injections I was receiving for the RA the doctor wanted me to be treated for the latent TB.  So I started taking Isoniazid (300 mg).   They wanted me to take for 9 months but after one month I developed severe side affects.....loss of appetitte, nauseous, dry heaves, vomiting after eating, pain in my stomach, and dry cough.   I decided to stop taking the medicine because obviously my stomach was not handling the drug.   Has anyone heard anything on this drug and how it affects gastric bypass patients?    Of course I'm going to talk to my doctor at the end of this month at my next appointment but most doctors don't know that much about gastric bypass surgery patients.   I have been off the medicine for 2 weeks now and I am still getting sick and nauseous.....I just want to feel normal again!

I have not heard of the drug....but there is a link that I found on a pharmacist website that addresses various medications and absorption issues after bypass. Drug Information Group at University of Illinois at Chicago  College of pharmacy has a LOT of drug absorption information. Might have to scroll through a lot of irrelevant stuff...if it's not on that site, maybe someone there can help you.  Good luck.....
