My best advice for food on vacation:  Protein first. Stay hydrated. Follow your routine as much as possible.  Pay close attention to your body and stop when you feel satisfied.  Do not try any new or exotic foods while you're away.  Focus on time with family, fun activities, good conversations, love and laughter.

Just returned from Europe on vacation. Had no trouble. Stick with salads and fruit. I took a small blender and whey protein powder, bought strawberries and got ice in hotels. No problem. We took a pedometer ( $19 at Dick's Sporting Goods) and we walked 84.6 miles in 9 days. Lost weight. Surgery 4/9/14. start 286 lbs today 193 lbs  Male 61 yo.

Write down every bite you eat and learn to count the calories. Stick to the diet and don't fool yourself. You put your body through hell up to this point. Be honest if only to yourself.
