Hi all, I am 9 years post op as of next week, have been very successful but have gained about 20 lbs of my 175lb weight loss and wanted to check in with those folks that have had the same issue.  I seemed to have "forgotten" how to eat.  Any suggestions?  I think I am about 1 1/2 cups of food but wanted to reach out to see what others are doing and what their day of eating looks like.  How many calories, etc.  What can y'all suggest?  Thank you in advance :-)

when I was getting back on track, I found my surgeon's website very helpful.  Eventually, I went to a dietician who works with bariatric patients and got a workable food plan.  http://www.barixclinicsstore.com/food_logs.html

You just have go back to the basics. I have gained about 45lbs and am 7 years out (RNY) I started to really try and cut out bad carbs and mainly eat protein. I also started to add a shake everyday. My goals for the day are; about 1100 calories, 70-80 carbs, and I try for 100 grams of protein. I started to track and measure my food and  I cut out the soda and make sure that I am always drinking water and not drinking with my meals. Since doing this I have noticed more restriction and have lost about 16lbs. It's slow going but I think it's because I have my good day and bad ones. I know on the RNY forum there is a daily thread that post their menus for the day, most are less than a year out but it gives you a good idea about how much they are eating and what, they are also so supportive too!  Good luck don't get frustrated. You can do this!
