Back, after a long absence and a 46lb regain - My story, 4 & 1/2 years out!
- Simple carbohydrates are sugars. All simple carbohydrates are made of just one or two sugar molecules. They are the quickest source of energy, as they are very rapidly digested. :) Simple carbohydrates are found naturally in foods such as fruits, milk, and milk products. They are also found in processed and refined sugars such as candy, table sugar, syrups, and soft drinks. The majority of carbohydrate intake should come from complex carbohydrates (starches) and naturally occurring sugars rather than processed or refined sugars
A personal thank you for sharing your story - and the current success. While I'm pre-op and learning the ropes I appreciate hearing "from the trenches" well after the initial surgery and success. Time, stress and habits can take their toll. You've taken charge of your life and that what really matters, doesn't it?
Keep up the good work, hope to see another post from you soon with even more success and confidence.
Hi CeCe!!
Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! :) Thank you for your response! It made my day!!!
I am down to 191, on my way to 180 and possibly 170!! I am basically doing "the back to basics"" Protein, Complex Carbs; WATER WATER WATER, no sugar, no grains, no bread, no rice, artificial sweetners, no sweets, no potatoes, nothing white and NO simple carbs.
Now that I am off the carb craving/sugar craving train, I feel AMAZING!
If you are on myfitnesspal, add me!! I am under megawatt823! I track EVERYTHING - food and exercise!
HUGS!
