I am a bath lover and am wondering when I can take a nice long one. They say I can shower after 48 hrs, so I thought why not a bath, but there might be something about soaking the glued down ports..... Just got sleeved on Friday the 14th. Anyone have any ideas?

You need to wait until your incisions are all COMPLETELY healed.

Yeah, you're right. I just wondered if this stuff that looks like glue on me would hold up to a bath, but even the quick shower they said I could have seemed to have this stuff peeling...... Did you do the sleeve by any chance?

I did have the sleeve!

the problem with submerged water things - like baths, hot runs, or swimming, is that bacteria loves water in those temps and can easily infiltrate your unhealed wounds. It's too dangerous until your skin is all sealed up again.

Oh for sure. I guess I was thinking this glue was going to keep it covered, but..... So yes, I'll def. wait. But my question is, did you experience stomach cramps. It seems to happen when my bladder is full....strangely enough. It almost comes in waves and lasts only a few painful seconds for about thirty min. Or so and at night. Strange. Sometimes I just change positions, or of course go to the bathroom, but it seems odd to have a stomach cramp in relation to my bladder.......unless it's gas on my stomach still,.........I'm going to ask my doc but I thought I'd ask you who are past the first week, if don't mind......

That does seem really weird!  I haven't had the experience.  Sorry I can't help. :(

That's ok, I appreciate your being available for me to ask the question. Thank you.
