WLS made marriage better and we were in a bad place

I was a little concerned WLS might be the last straw for our marriage.  He was opposed to it because some doctors in our hometown are so against it and I had a 30 percent chance of dying during surgery according to 2 surgeons because of my other health issues.   He also had been jealous of other men even though I was morbidly obese and never even tempted. 

It actually has brought us closer.  He is not insecure though I have lost a lot of weight.  He is eating healthier and has lost 12 pounds himself. He has agreed to compromise on something we have been fighting about for 6 years.  Life is better and I am happier than I ever thought possible.  I truly have a new start.

That is very awesome!!!! I am proud of you for doing what was needed to change your life for the healthier and proud of your husband for putting his pride down, instead of his foot and changing things for the betterment of your marriage. Stay connected and continue the communication, be each other's best friend.
