Post op carnivore question
Okay, so I'm going to admit that I've eaten some pureed meat today... I'm 9 days out. I put taco meat into my food processor and let it go until it wasn't easily recognized as meat. :-/ I put sour cream on top that I had thinned down with half and half. I guess my rationale was that it was the consistency of a pureed soup(almost)... and I'm allowed those(nearly). I just HAD to have meat! Growing up my mom always said "you must have a cast iron stomach, nothing bothers it". Truly I have not been nauseated by smells or tastes or anything. Am I wrong to rationalize? I've been very low carb for the past few months even before my surgery, and plan to keep eating that way. Is there anyone else willing to admit they 'may have' eaten something before they reached the stage it was supposed to be reintroduced? :-? I feel fine, but my brain is being a jerk about it now. :-)

After the weeks on end of various protien shakes, I was craving something savory when I got to the pureed stage at two weeks. I ended up pureeing (sp) some indian food (Chana Masala). There is nothing wrong with what you did, and you don't need to rationalize. Just make sure you are taking that meal, and all your others, into consideration with your overall calorie intake and nutritional needs.
