PORT REMOVAL

Hi.  I am in need of some serious advice.  I had LapBand surgery in 2006.  I was 300 pounds.  I have been 123 pounds for five years.  I have only had two fills in that time.  I have little residual skin. I am now a weight lifter and have very little body fat.  Here is the problem:  My port sticks out about an inch.  It is unsightly and I feel like a freak.  I want everything to stay the same, but I want to have this ugly lump removed.

Do I have to have a low profile port?  Can't they just remove this port and cap it so that the saline doesn't come out?

Thanks for any help you can give on this matter.

I am not sure but I have the same problem I had my panni removed and now the port is really noticeable, in fact if I hit it or my kids jump on me it hurts. But I would think for emergencies they need to have it., keep me posted please.
