Hope you have resolved your problem by now.  I was 2 yrs out when I developed the opposite (severe diarrhea) which is still kind of a problem and strangely enough, I gained weight (35#) in about 6 months.  The advice I got from a number of drs was that it was late-stage dumping with my blood sugar & insulin going up and down like a yo-yo  From doing some research, this Reactive Hypoglycemia is not that uncommon with RNY about 2+ years out.  Has something to do with the lack of pyloric valve?  I was told that every time the insulin goes up that much in order to handle carbs, fat goes into the liver and other areas.  I was also told that due to the severe calorie restriction, despite eating a lot of protein to spare muscle, muscle was lost anyway...couldn't be helped with that much calorie restriction.  Wish I would have done more resistance training and less cardio but, oh well, too late now.  I just wish I would have been cautioned about this very real possibility of weight regain despite the low cal, exercise etc. I had learned to practice.  Thought that I had "nailed it"  when I had successfully lost the weight and maintained it for over a year.  I am about to go back to a low carb/high protein diet just to get rid of some of it.  Dr. said don't plan on a quick weight loss..in fact, plan on a very slow weight loss despite severe restriction, increased exercise.  I think the only real challenge is the increased appetite...very hard to control now.  Hope plastics goes well for you...I had to postpone my final surgery (arm/leg lift****il the weight comes off.
