Stricture
I had my surgery over 8 months ago and did very well post op. I was diagnosed with a stricture about 2 months post op. I have had 4 endoscopys with dilatation and I was wondering how other people with strictures faired. I can only eat a bite or two of dense food and very small quantities of mushies. Will this problem ever be resolved? Has anyone had a stent placed?
Thanks for any help or advice
I developed mine at 5 years out, during my second pregnancy. I had it dilated once, and am in desperate need of it again. I am miserable, at the moment. I'm praying this will fix it, because it is worse now than before the first procedure. Someone else I know, was able to get relief after the third time. I don't know anything about the stents, but need to research it.I hope we both can find relief soon.

Wow, you are at goal already? Congrats to you! Good job!
I was diagnosed with a stricture and had two endoscopies with dilation. They help for a couple of weeks, but that's about it. Gastro doc says I'm "cured" but I still cannot eat more than a bite or two of food before I am miserable and feel like I need to throw up. I also had aan ulcer but that has healed. I'm starting to get used to my new lifestyle, but I worry about the future and the long-term effect of such a restricted diet. I need to keep after my doctors!
Good luck to you! How did you feel after your endoscopies?
