Is there anyone on here that had the DS/BPD with Michel Gagner in NYC from 2000 to 2005. If so what complications have you had if any and do you know why Drs are not doing the BPD part of the WLS anymore

. I got off track and need to get back on board. But Im having a hard time locating people who had WLS with this Dr and the same procedure. Thx for any help.

Did you have a different procedure?  My understanding is the DS can also be referred to DS-BPD. Have you been in contact with your surgeon?  Have you also posted on the DS board?

Hello,

I had the BPD-DS with Dr. Gagner 3/19/2001, and I've had no problems.

Hello,

Today I had my yearly followup with Dr. Dakin at NY Presbyterian in NYC. I usually go to Dr. Dakin or Dr. Pomp every March on my surgery anniversary. They give me the blood workup & I just go to Quest Labs to have my blood drawn. All my labs were fine. I don't do anything special. I pretty much eat what I want. Just make sure I take all my vitamins. Best of Luck! Dawn : )

Head over to the Duodenal Switch Forum and start checking in with the Bites and Vits to help stay on track.  Back to basics with the DS is protein, protein, protein and cut your carbs to 20-30grams.  There's a FB DS group that's using Intermittent Fasting and they are really dropping weight.
