I'm actually doing this now. I too have gained some weight and I needed to get back on track. I'm on the first day and I basically just did protein shakes and soup. Drank lots of water and really tried to remember why I wanted to have the surgery in the first place.  I'll let you know how it goes!

I am starting my day 3 today, days 1 & 2 went good, I did mostly protein shakes, broth and pea soup, was a little dissapointed today when weighed myself to find only 1/2 pound loss. I know its not intended as a weight loss plan but was hopeing. Did you make any of the soup recipies? I made the slit pea and ham, seems odd that you can have it and maybe it wasnt a good choice, dont know.

I made the split pea soup as well and I thought the same thing! I'm on day two and I have basically just done protein shakes and pea soup. I thought it was odd as well because mine was a little thick?? Wasn't sure if it was a good choice! But I"m drinking a lot of water and exercising. I'm not going to weigh myself until after the five days.  I know that it isn't mean to be a weight loss solely but at the same time, I do expect to lose something!! I guess the basic thing is to get on track so that the weight loss can begin again.  Best of luck to you!!  I think that we can encourage each other..We can do this!

Last night I pureed my soup thinking it would be more of a liquid and it was just as filling. Today I am on day 3 and have basically eated hard boiled egg, tuna, cottage cheese, that type of stuff and Im really not as hungry as I thought I would be. Do you know if we can still have protein shakes? I wasnt sure. Im having one right now while on the computer. Im going to have baked fish with salsa on tonight, I just have haddock in the house but should be Ok. I do need to get more water in yet today, hope all is well.

Hello! Day 3 and I'm NOT HUNGRY!! Had to make myself take a few bites of my egg and turkey bake this morning. I don't think that we are suppose to drink the protein for the next few days. I was looking to see if I saw any posts on this. Still trying to get in this water. Have worked out twice this week and plan on working out today and tomorrow. Hope all is well!!

Completed the Five day pouch test. stumbled a bit during and after but quickly picked myself up. Carb cravings are gone, no more snacking, Lots of protein and water. I managed to lose five pounds as well.  Feeling great..Exercising daily, I'm back on track....

I need to get rid of my carb cravings and carb intake , can you explain the  5 day pouch test or advise where I can find it? Way to go on losing 5 lbs!!!

the website is 5 day pouch test , its 2 days of liquids, then soft proteins. Back to the beginning right after your wls. Its to tighten and reset the pouch.
