regained alot
Regain is one of those taboo subjects and ones that medical folks either aren't fully aware of or don't want to tell pre-ops. Even as a support group leader I carry 30 more pounds than I'd like and am trying to work on it so I understand what you are going through. One thing I have said and have heard others say is "go back to the basics." Dust off the manual you received from your doctor and refresh your memory. Be honest: are you eating protein first, drinking water, taking vitamins? etc. Are you eating carbs throughout the day? I'm 12 years out so it's really easy to eat sweets and bread throughout the day so you might be at a stage where you really have to be hyper aware of what you are eating.
I can't recommend enough how important it is to find a local support group and go. It really is ok for pre-ops to see that you have regained. They need to know this! Don't you wish you knew about this possibility when you were a pre-op?
Find a meal plan you like and give it a try. Go vegan or vegetarian, try juicing, try a meal plan from a company like WonderSlim. Whatever you think you can do, try it. There's lots of health books you can check out from the library; you don't need to buy any. Maybe this popularar Wheat Belly Book will appeal to you. Who knows.
If you are not drinking water, you gotta get on that right away. To start losing again, drink half your current weight in ounces (200 pound person should drink 100 ounces of water daily). Flush that junk out. =)
Be good and kind to yourself in the meantime. It's just too darn easy to beat ourselves up.
Another great tip: get some fresh air and go on a walk. Moving your body will be a real plus. You can also find free walking downloads or put your own playlist together and listen while walking.

Lap RNY 5/7/03
I lost 50+ pounds of regained weight with hCG drops.
I don't hardly post here anymore either. But I got into trouble gaining this weight so I figured I'd come here where I started. I gained 30 lbs that I am having a hard time taking off. I clothes fit very tight and are so uncomfortable & I just feel so guilty with myself. My RNY was 02/17/2004 and I have always maintain my weight around 125-128 until recently. Now I am always hungry and I don't feel full at all. I want to eat everything and anything so not me! I don't know where this is coming from. I guess my pouch is very big now? I've been reading and trying to get some motivation here from others with the same problems. Hope we can help each other.
