5DPT - Day 5!!!! Solid Protein Whaz upppppppppppp!!!!
Yes!!!
From Kay Bailey's The 5 Day Pouch Test Journal
Protein Recommendations: white meat poultry cooked dry and lightly seasoned, beef steak (if tolerated) grilled or broiled. Remember to chew, chew, chew. Measure your portion (4-6 ounces) and eat only until you feel your pouch tighten. Remember, only 15 minutes per meal, so you'll have to work fast to chew your food completely. By now you should be out of any carb cycle you were in and perhaps you have lost a pound or two. You will have new confidence in your pouch and your ability to work the tool for your health and emotional well being.
This one day let's enjoy and get to tomorrow.
YES!!!
How are you doing? How are your carb cravings?
I'm really trying to relearn habits right now. My Dr asked me if I was drinking with meals, and I said no, it's the only good habit iI've stuck with... well guess what, after paying attention, I do. I eat right after drinking, and drink within 10 min after eating. I think I told myself that as long as I wasn't biting, drinking, etc.. that I was complying. Funny how we rationalize...
Still trying to figure it all out & very upset that I have NO clothes that fit. :(
Hope you are back on track.
Thanks for the updates.
Hey Tina!
We are never done . . . and that is okay!
I am choosing to make better food choices by keeping aware. It is not that I don't want a bagel instead of a boiled egg. Though I truly believe the carb craving is truly chemically addictive, I'd be the first to say I love the taste, the comfort everything about bread, potatoes, rice etc. They are easy, simple fill you up and digest fast so you can crave more instantly.
I keep choosing to green juice in the morning knowing full well clean up is a pain in the arse. I keep choosing to fill my stomach up with cottage cheese so that I won't have room for the crap that I'd really like to eat. It is a game! We have to keep tricking ourselves by feeding on protein first/ healthy foods so that we won't have any space for the sliders.
Stop, Listen, and Do what needs to be done to get what you want. If you want to fit into your clothes, truly it is up to you.
Chin Up!

L
