5DPT Day 3 Check- In!!! Soft Proteins. How is is going? What's up?

As per Kaye Bailey, Day 3 - Soft Proteins - Protein Recommendations:  canned fish (tuna or salmon) mixed with lemon and seasoned with salt and pepper, eggs cooked as desired seasoned with salt pepper and/or salsa, fresh soft fish (tilapia, sole, orange roughy), baked or grilled, lightly seasoned.  This starts you program with "soft" protein.  Measure your portion (1 cup volume or 4-6 ounces weight) and eat only until you feel full, not overfull.  Remember, no water for 30 minutes before or after your meal, and no fluids with your meal.  We are going back to the beginning and fluids will prevent you from feeling the pouch.  If you need to add a bit of miracle whip or mayonnaise to the canned fish I understand, but keep it to a minimum so the meat is not too moist.  One reason we lose the sense of tightness in our pouch is that we eat "slider foods" - foods that are too moist and do not stay in the pouch very long, they slide right through the stoma.     Kaye Bailey The 5 Day Pouch Test Journal

Enjoy your soft protein today!!!

Take good care and remember to be forgiving and kind to yourself.

I hope you and everyone else are doing well! I have been dragging my feet on starting the 5dpt. I WILL start tomorrow. My weight was down a couple pounds today, but then because of that, (major emotional/binge eating/self sabotoge issues today) I binged like crazy on sugar and carbs to the point I felt so sick I tried to make myself throw up but nothing came up:( I am new to the area I am living in and going to a WLS support group tomorrow and I am hoping that helps because my brain and I are just not doing well lately. Ugh.

Sorry.  I understand where you are at.  Keep holding on, reach out for help.  Are there any Overeaters Anonymous near you?  That could feel like a safe place.  I remember ppl used to do 90 meetings in 90 days when they Needed a rescuing.  Always wanted to do that :-) .
