ANY FURTHER POSTS ON THIS 5 DAY POUCH TEST SUBJECT WILL BE POSTED ON THE "WLS GRADS FORUM"

Please join us in doing the 5 Day Pouch Test beginning Monday, March 11th.

This is for an EMERGENCY situation - when "out of control" to get back to "normal"

Do the 5 Day as written!

--NO calorie restriction

--AVOID pursuing perfection

--DON'T focus on scale

All the information you need is here - read thoroughly - www.5daypouchtest.com

and it would be a great idea to watch Kaye Bailey's videos on You tube.

You should prepare your soup (delicious & packed with protein) and protein jello over the weekend if you have a busy schedule during the week.

Kaye says something like and it is so not a direct quote - YOU had your guts hacked and YOU signed up for this for life!

What happens beyond day 5

Following the rules that we should have stuck post-op to if we strayed

-Protein First

-Water - at least 64oz and stay close to the 30/30 rule

-No Snacking - or smart planned snacking GOODBYE SLIDERS - pretzels, crackers . . .

-EXERCISE

Beyond Day 5 will get interesting but lets do the 5 day first and detox off of the carbs and get clarity with our bodies.

Talk to you soon!

Layla

Layla I love your enthusiasm so much that I want to join you Monday.  I have a regular work week this week with in laws coming to town Friday so I have plenty of time for the discipline it takes.  I am going to print off some recipes.  I have most of the ingredients for the soups.  I have plenty of RTD protein shakes.  I definitely must have the soups, though, because I love savory.  Not huge on sweet.  OK - Sign me up!

I'm in!!! I am excited. I consider my band a failure at this point because it gets tight on it's own and I can't get fluid in it without getting sick. I am looking at this as a way to jump start my healthy eating :)

Awe, sorry about your band failing you - been there, done that and it was so difficult, disappointing and terrifying.  So are you wide open now or do you have some restriction? And how is your hunger?  Whatever the case make sure that you are taking care of yourself when you do this.  If you are hungry, make sure and follow the guide to wait an hour and then eat what is on the approved list for day 1 and 2 and EAT.  Don't stay hungry.  Having the soup will help you.  If you didn't make soup, grab a cream soup from the store (watch the sodium).

Much success on the 5 day

I have about 1cc in my band. I have an appt. coming up to get that removed too. I do get pretty hungry but today I am doing okay. I had a few minutes where it was tough. I should have skipped the teacher's lounge. I have maintained my weight within 5 pounds, so I think I am doing pretty good considering I am own my own without band help.
