Five (5) Weeks from Today.
I can't believe it that I'm just five (5) weeks away from today that I'll have a total knee replacement (full replacement) of my left knee. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Last week I was wondering about what a total knee replacement surgery looked liked, I looked it up on google and found pictures of what it looked like and now I am scared to death about the surgery. I was just just curious about it and I wanted to know what to expect ahead of time in what I'll be going through when it's time for the knee surgery. I now know what the saying me when someone says "curious killed the cat", just by looking at the pictures of a total knee surgery. I think I know what the answer is going to be, but I'm going to ask it anyway: Is it normal to feel this about my upcoming knee surgery? My joint replacement class and my pre-operative risk assessment testing is just 20 days away,. I hope all goes well for me in 20 days from now let alone five (5) weeks from today. How did you handle it went the time was getting closer to your knee surgery? How was it for you after you had the knee surgery (I know it varies from person to person) during the first 72 hours let alone during the first week or two?
Thank you in advance.
