i thought i was alone---- until i read your post.

you mean- someone else feels the way i do??????!!?!?!

i Had my surgery in 2003.  I have had 2 other children since. the WLS doc won't even see me since i didnt keep up with yearly visits... so i feel alone also struggling daily to make healthier food choices while lacking any motivation to exercise.

My lowest after WLS= 135.

Current weight 160.

Normal weight is below 140lbs.

Therefore, i need to lose 20 lbs.. and i have been trying since my last baby- 3 years ago.

So let's help each other get back on track...

and i am sort of relieved to see that there may be others that feel the way i do too.

"I am currently getting back on track!

I thought I was alone too.My RNY surgeryn moved out of state so I haven;t seen him seen's about 4 months after my sugrery. So I have tryed to do everything on my own,and I had a few bumps in the road on losing weight.I need to lose another 60 pds and I will be very happy,so I decided to get back on protein shakes after we talked to hby's RNY team trying to get him ready for RNY and his Nut talked to me and told me what I needed to do and that was get make on protein and I need 100 gms a day so now I drink coffee with protein every morning and I even make ice coffee with it,I bought several Blender Bottles to mix protein and its great I bought enough to have 1 for my hot coffee with protein and 2nd to make my ice coffee,3rd for work,4th in motor home I wanted to make sure all my bases where covered.

My ex doctor said to us it was normal to gain 25-30 pds back after everything settled, well I dont believe that I dont allow my self to gain,When I weigh my self about once a month if I have gained a few pounds I panic and try to lose it and when I weigh my self again I have lost that few pounds plus some.

I'm a lightweight RNY loser so 8 yrs out I'm back on track and trying really hard to lose the last 60 pds I want to lose.changing foods I eat ,got rid of the junk snack foods and now I eat tuna with wheat crackers or peanut butter crackers,or a protein bar because I really do want to lose the last 60 pds,and because I lose so slowly I really dont have any saggy skin to deal with, now my girls did go south but they never where standing up start with,my arms and legs look ok,my issue is I cared my weight in front tummy, hopefuly I wont need a tummy tuck after I lose the last 60 pds.my weight loss has been at a stand for the last year,so now I;m back on track because I was recovery from very series illness the last year.So dont ever give up just get back on track and get your proten in and go back to basic and start all over again.Thats what I;m doing now.

Good luck,

Margaret-FL

BE HAPPY AND STRONG AND REMEMBER TO TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME AND HAVE BLESSED DAY!

isn't it interesting that we all have found each other on this website and we are all feeling the same way?

so.. since we feel this way.. maybe we can start of by identifying some of the bad habits or good habits that we currently have...

"I am currently getting back on track!

Not writing down what I eat,
Forgetting pouch rules.
Forgetting protein, vegetables fruits then carbs rule.
Stay away from the white stuff.
Not getting enough exercise.
Not getting enough protein.

For me....I can almost duplicate what Tamilyne said....

Not writing down what I eat,
Forgetting pouch rules, especially measuring food. Eyeballing it isn't working!
Forgetting protein, vegetables, fruits then carbs rule.
Not getting enough exercise.
Time to wait to drink after meals.
Not planning meals

I have a feeling this is a common list amongst us all. But we CAN overcome this!

Hello everyone, I am almost 4 years out and got married 2 years ago to a man that is overweight but does not think so.  Everything that he puts in his mouth is unhealthy and despite my efforts to not join him I still do.  since then I have gained about 20 pounds.  I have within the last month rejoined a gym and go at least 4 times a week.  I have started back drinking protein shakes and drinking more water.  The scale has not moved but all I can do is keep trying.

Hello Everyone,

This is how I am feeling also. I had my Rny in 2007. I lost 160LBS. In 2010 I meet the love of my life in May 2010. He asked my father if he could marry me the first weekend in july 2010. One week later my father was put in hospital for the next 3 weeks and then passed away. We got married in Oct .2010. I was dealing with my father death and planning a wedding and dealing with estate issues. When we got married, I moved 6 hours from friends, family and a place that I grew up in and lived for 40 years.  I miss my friends and what is familier to me all at once. I am in school full time getting my degree. I have watch the scales since i got married and they keep going up. I have gain 30lbs. I feel deperate.  I have lost control. I am not sure what to do or how to start to get back on track.  When I am not home I go good with my eating. It is like when I walk through the down the emotional eater starts and takes over.  It has been a hard road and i know it will get better. I know I can do this.  Just thought I would share. THanks
