Two Year Post VSG, Gaining Weight - What are my options?
Lowest wgt 162, current wgt 191. I have tried no carb, wheat-free..etc. I am right back to where I was pre surgery. Looking up and trying all the fad diets. The sad news is none of it has worked. Had my thryoid and all checked = they are normal.
What do I do? Has anyone gone on to have RNY or some other surgery after gaining with a VSG?
Post op RNY I need to eat lower calories very Lowe carb to maintain. To lose I need to exercise. And it takes forever to lose one lb. It takes time. Our body is used to low calories.

Do you (or did you) weight and track your food intake? I know for me at least, I need to continue to actually measure and log what I eat on a daily basis or else I would do what I've done in the past- slowly, incrementally increase my portions (even a little extra mayo adds up without notice) and start gaining.
I had previously lost my excess weight years ago, and let myself stop tracking- which led to a slow regain over the course of 7 years or so.. So, at least for me, I cannot intuitively eat.. I need to feed myself in a controlled measured way most of the time to maintain.
If you do decide on a revision- and not sure whether you are considering self-pay or insurance, please consider the DS over the RNY..
I'm logging everything again and staying under 1200 calories to start with.Id like to get my calories a little lower if I can get my hunger in check again.
How many calories are you consuming ?
