Spasm/cramps

I am 4 years out from surgery. Once in a while, I have what feels like spasms in my intestine going down from my pouch to the lower intestine area. It feels like a huge cramp and then after a while it goes away. Has anyone else had this problem?

I get them a lot! I take an anti-spasmatic medicine called Levsin. Make sure you contact you doctor to rule out something serious. You might keep a journal of how often you are getting them, what you have eaten and drank around the time they happened, the time and duration of the spasms, and what makes them better or worse. That could possibly help find the cause. Hope this helps.

I'm having cramps real bad old people call them charley horses, anyway the doctor had me taking extra D, drinking toni water I four years out, and i'm going to ask my DR about Levsin
