Not the Same Dawn
on 5/5/12 11:20 am - BEE EFF EEE, CA
Well, I got the bright idea on thursday to make fish tacos today for Cinco de Mayo..we have tons of tilapia so I was slightly disappointed when our son went to his friends house cuz he (and I) love fish. My hubby, not so much. I talked about it this morning when I was marinating the fish..making the sauce..I mentioned two things I needed to finish the meal (sour cream and cilantro)...and yet, 5 pm, dear hubby is noshing on a large piece of chocolate cake.."No dinner?" He said "Nah! I'm just gonna snack later, maybe." lovely. So I grilled up two pieces of the fish and ate it..and it was OUTSTANDING..I may just grill up the whole pound of it and keep it for myself! screw him!

So my day went like this:

Coffee about 6 am w/nsa swiss miss

breakfast about 7 am..my normal waffle, 1 medium pear and sf pancake mix

I drank a double espresso latte about a half hour before we went to our friends house..about 7:30.

I intended to take a container of herb tea with me..24 oz but left it at home..bummer

2nd breakfast about 10:30 am 1/2 an egg burrito..awesome!

24 oz container of water while shopping at walmart. Actually bought a new comforter for the bed..

24 oz container of water (I'm skipping the flavor for a couple of days..I'm getting a really bad rash and I think the caffeinated packets are the culpret but we'll see)

Lunch was left over steak from last night on a sandwich thin with processed cheese and mayo..just a touch of it.

I drank the herb tea, 24 oz with splenda..I think it was Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride..good even cold..

Dinner: 2 fish tacos consisting of about 5 oz tilapia, 1/3 cup raw cabbage, 1/4 of a medium cucumber and some really good sauce made from sour cream on two flour tortillas..

totals for the day:
Calories: 1761
Fat: 69.1
Carbs: 148.8
Protein: 145.5

Nice numbers. The only slightly not good carb food was the flour tortillas..still, that tilapia is going to make one AWESOME salad later this week..

How did you do?
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
