Accountability - Monday

Monday..Put some boneless skinless chicken breasts in the crock pot this morning for hubby to turn on at 10 am..I'm running on all 8 cylinders but still didn't get up early enough to hit the wii this morning. I think I'm gonna have to break down and set the alarm...bummer..I did do some walking at work..actually TWO trips across the street to deliver mail..must be at least a mile of walking..lets see if I can get that extra 2 pounds off my rear end! Seeing the scales tilting at 131.8 for a few days is bugging the hell out of me..I know I should be beyond that but it still is a mental thing..My clothes are loose, maybe it's muscle?..I have this argument every morning! Can you tell?

My eats:

5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

6:00 am 1/4 protein waffle, 4 strawberries, 1/2 sf pancake syrup

6:30 am double espresso latte with soy milk

7:00 am 24 oz herb tea with splenda

8:00 am 1 hard boiled egg

9:00 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea

10:00 am chocolate peanut butter protein brownie (I love these! I'm gonna have to make more of them)

11:00 am half my lunch salad: 1 can water packed tuna, 1 oz lo cal caesar dressing, 2 cups lettuce, 5 grape tomatoes, 1/2 medium cucumber

12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with half n half and splenda

12:30 pm the rest of my salad..did you know that a can of white tuna has 40+ grams of protein? I knew I loved that stuff for a reason!

1:15 pm 24 oz drink mix, GV Energy Cherry Lemonade Caffeinated

1:30 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Berry Limeade

3:15 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Crystal Light Lemon Tea

4:30 pm 1/2 medium apple, 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 1 oz honey roasted peanuts

6:00 pm 4 oz stewed chicken breast, 1 medium carrot and a couple of canned green beans

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1391
Fat: 67.4
Carbs: 83.5
Protein: 124.4

Actually, this is pretty good. I'm stuffed..and I'm tired and will try my hardest to get up early to do my exercise..

Two questions.. is this post you do daily open to anyone to post what they eat for accountability too... or just yours?  (don't want to post if not suppose to)

#2... do you share the brownies recipe?

Ii think maybe if I had to be accountable (like here) I might be more concious of my closet eating.

Thanks.

Sure..you can post..anyone can post..free country and all of that..I just ramble on and on about what I do all day and what I eat..

I'm glad you asked about the chocolate peanut butter protein brownies..the recipe is here on my home computer and I scoured my work computer and emails all day yesterday looking for it..here it is..It's called a protein bar recipe but it really is more like brownies. I made a 9x9 pan of them and separated it into 8 servings and put them in snack size bags and froze them..pop one into my lunch bag and it is just about thawed by *snack* time..

Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Protein Bars

  • Cooking oil spray
  • ½ cup plain oatmeal (quick oats, not instant)
  • ½ cup unsweetened soymilk
  • ¼ cup egg whites (2 whites)
  • ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (1/3 cup)
  • ½ cup Splenda granulated or sugar (or 12 packets Truvia)
  • ¼ cup milled flaxseed
  • 2 tablespoons white whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons natural peanut butter

1.     Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 8×8″ pan with cooking oil spray.

2.     In a microwave safe bowl, combine oats and milk; cook for 60 seconds. Stir and allow to cool; mix in egg whites and vanilla.

3.     In a large mixing bowl, combine the whey protein, Splenda, flaxseed, flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

4.     Add oatmeal mixture to dry ingredients; mix just until everything is moist. Spread batter in pan.

5.     Place peanut butter in microwave safe bowl and heat for 45 seconds or until melted. Spoon peanut butter over batter in pan and swirl with knife tip.

6.     Bake for 10 minutes; allow to cool completely before cutting into 6 bars. Wrap each individually in plastic wrap and store in the freezer or refrigerator. Unwrap and microwave 30 seconds to warm.

Makes 6 servings

Ah! Family drama..don't even get me started! LOL..it would actually be laughable if it wasn't so petty and hurtful!

Look at you! Wow. Great numbers. the carbs are good carbs...nice protein. Alittle light on protein but with running around for doctor's appointments..it's all good.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

LOL..We all beat ourselves up sometimes. That stupid several pounds has to be from too much salt lately or something..It's driving me crazy though..I just don't wanna be one of those people who is posting "help! I've gained 100 pounds and ..." you know. 3 pounds isn't 100 but it's a naggy little thing for me.

Nice protein number..looks like the carbs were good too. the pot pie had some..the crackers might have been evil but..so what? It's not like you're eating them every day so that's alright.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

they are SUCH a weakness! I even had the little oyster crackers (i suppose thats when i got hooked like a junkie) after my 2nd procedure in feb. they were like my little goto treat. now they're like my daily gottahave just so i can stay grounded.
